In teaching digital skills, you'll be introducing learners to a lot of new vocabulary. They need to learn not only its meaning but how to say and spell it too.This webinar recording explores fun ways of teaching and assessing your learners' digital vocabulary. 

'How to teach Essential Digital Skills' sessions focus on developing skills, knowledge and confidence to teach competencies within the national standards for Essential Digital Skills (EDS) which cover five key skills areas for life and work. The sessions explore approaches for delivery that could be implemented with learner groups, including how they could be delivered through online/blended delivery. 

Who is this for?

Anyone delivering functional digital skills courses.

Teachers and managers who are preparing to deliver EDS qualifications or embedding digital skills aligned to the national standards in other courses.

Curriculum managers/leaders who are involved in supporting digital skills delivery within the organisations. For example:

  • Learning & Teaching/Curriculum/Quality/Improvement managers
  • CPD leads or Functional Skills leads
  • Advanced practitioners

Training Aims

To support teachers in developing their skills, knowledge and confidence to deliver specific competencies within the new EDS national standards.

Length

The recording is approximately 60 minutes with an index that allows you to select specific chapters to view.

You should be part of a learning provider that is funded by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
