Taking note of your feedback
We greatly appreciate the time taken to provide us with feedback on each module. We regularly review all the feedback provided and use it to inform the development of new modules. Subject to funds being available and other constraints, we will amend existing modules where feedback shows this is required.Feedback from other members about this module
Good introduction to what trustworthy resources are.
This is one of the most horrible and un user friendly things I have had the miss fortune to have to engage with. I would not recommend it even to my dog|
.
Good
The examples provided that you had to sort were varied and sufficiently covered the breadth of scenarios that you may well come across when collating teaching resources. Some of the terminologies relating to how they were used were confusing or incorrect however.
very informative
Useful content esp for ideas on how to implement with my learners
Nice ideas
Is it not possible to adapt the question-and-answer session so that staff don't have to reset ALL of their answers when only one or two might need to be moved?
Quite good module but I think it is important to realise sometimes the most effective strategy for finding good materials is a dedicated peer network and having a close communication network with colleagues as well as students.
In the knowledge check options available do not relate to feedback, feedback says "social", drag and drog says "educational repository"
Google has become the 'go to' for resource searching. I have started to come away from this recently and use mindtools and business balls quite a lot. I also use 'collections' in Microsoft Edge to hold websites and videos etc. to create the bank of resources for myself.
The matching task was frustrating as didn't all fit on my screen.
This needs some connected thought. Instruction giving and marking criteria needs some rethinking. It's not very clear what I'm supposed to do and if I have to "choose the best one" and there could be more than one answer i.e. it's my opinion, how can I get a wrong answer by not matching the system's "correct" answer?
Sources for resources was interesting.
Good module looks at ways to organise your search practice.
Activity questions were not very clear. Potentially a good set of resources listed.
gave me a few ideas
Interesting start to the topic.
Fine
Good starting point to think about the source of information/research for planning
easy enough to understand
Quite confusing unless I'm missing something. . .
I thought the questions were a bit ambiguous
Good wasnt aware of some of the search sites i could use or had thought about specialist sites for sharing as well as finding
Useful links and ideas
dont understand
Good starting point but quite unclear
A good starting point
Poor site navigation. This training provided no new knowledge on source material or resource gathering beyond what was already known.
Xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx xx
still do not understand what the best ways are to find content
Very confused
Confusing
Useful in terms of where resources should be found and stored.
Difficult formative assessment
The matching exercise is too vague and confusing, your feedback makes reference to 'Social Media,' whereas your category choices does not include social media, only Educational repository.
You have an example of material found on Twitter (social media) that is classed as an example of 'Industry or specialist site'.
You have a category of 'Education Repository' but have not chosen an example that could clarify and confirm its meaning.
This course is a useful reminder to 'think outside the box' when it comes to searching for online resources. I will certainly explore some of the links given in the 'Further Resources' section, and I will try to remember to bookmark any interesting websites and sources, so that I can access the information quickly whenever I need to.
Good
The first instinct is always to go to Google, but there will always be a repository of previously used sites to go back to. With experience you collect a series of sites that you return to for tried and tested resources.
Useful content - thank you
Great
useful
Not particularly useful common sense really
already knew the content of the module
Some really useful resources and suggestions in here. Thank you.
Useful module, although it could benefit from more examples.
some interesting informative information.
Some good points
It is true that a google search does not always get you what you want and sometimes you have to think of ways to search more successfully.
Activity wasnt useful as it didnt state which answers were incorrect and lead the user to believe that they all were which was inconsistent with the answers
Too subjective
The answers are interchangeable on here and all resources could be found in a variety of different places.
Answers should not be marked wrong just because they don't match with your opinion
It was an eye-opener that search engines are not the best sources for resources
Really useful! Pointed me in the direct of BLC and it is great to see the resources available on there.
This unit despite completing using the feedback answers still states it is incorrect how can you complete if this is the case
Useful resources but again the answers are debatable and questions confusing. It wasn't clear you didn't have to use all the category boxes.
