Plan times of the day so that you get enough time away from work. Try and get the right balance.
interesting subject manor
Reasonable
Interesting break down of colleague, learner, me and admin time. Important to regard me time as important: blocking our diary for thinking and planning has stopped me rushing from one meeting to the next with nothing planned.
A great idea how to manage workload "A simple separation each day between four core elements: Learner time, Colleagues time, Admin time and Me time, can be an effective and flexible basis for managing time."
Structuring time is essential to well-being.
I disagree with what constitutes 'me time' according to this training package. If it's used for what is essentially CPD, how does this work in practice? And how does it stack up against the CPD requirements that are made mandatory by the college? An element of choice is implied which we don't see in our day-to-day work.
A very effective and concise self reflection module . Thank you.
A very interesting and made me think about managing my personal workload.
It is essential to have a clear structured timetable of work and down time in order to maintain your own wellbeing.
Enjoyed this as was very informative!
A valuable reminder to always add in 'me' time as this enables us all to manage our wellbeing.
Module about managing Personal Workload
Module lets you see that there is more than one way of organising your day, but to keep it real it must be one which meets the requirements of the job, but also fits around your day and works for you.
A useful framework. Perhaps a fifth pillar should be "Things I didn't expect to happen today"!
One of the things technology enhanced learning allows is the opportunity to invest in long term time savings - eg finding ways to create self marking quizzes can reduce marking load on tutors.
balance is so important
Not sure how some of the tasks such as marking cannot be called admin time?
