Digital Teaching Professional Framework
This module covers the EdTech component - B1a : Using teaching and learning resources with learners
- Visualise and explain new concepts in a motivating and engaging way using digital technologies e.g. by using animations or videos.
- Use motivating and engaging activities (e.g. games and quizzes) in digital learning environments.
- Put learners' active uses of digital technologies central to the teaching process.
- Allow learners actively to engage with subject matter using digital technologies, e.g. using different senses, manipulating virtual objects, varying the problem set up to enquire into its structure, etc.
- Promote active learning in a given learning context or for a specific learning objective using appropriate digital technologies.
- Reflect on how suitable the different digital technologies used are in increasing learners' active learning, and to adapt strategies and choices accordingly.

Useful information to support developing Teams for learning environment
Animation is a great way to get learners to remember things.
Marvelous
The links to the animation apps are paid for, so probably won't be useful
Encouraging module for anyone interested to bring alive their teaching resources "Any form of animated content is only worthwhile if it makes learning more effective or more memorable."
Interesting
This was awful. I thought that this module would give me tips of how to improve my animations, not just tell me why to use it - I feel like I am restudying a bad version of a PGCE. I wonder if I am doing something wrong.
Thanks for the direction towards resources , these should be really useful and the ones I looked at look quite easy to apply and use .
A good little video that shows and explains the pros and cons of the animation in delivery sessions. I did find that the spoken voiced was rushed whilst giving the information.
Good module
Creating content - Animation
A bit basic flor me
Excellent module.
The video was just a little bit fast for me.
Brilliant
Be good to get saome animations prepared for certain areas around building, such as windows and doors.
This module has given me an idea about using animated images in engaging learners attention and reinforcing the knowledge and making it memorable. In particular when you have these images in teaching how to use a formula in Maths or even the processes involved in converting fractions to decimals or decimals to fractions, like images on a flow chart to outline the steps involved in order.
Takes away then pressure of trying to do too much.
