EdTech: Organising learning
Organising learning consists of two distinct stages: deciding what you want learners to do, then managing the subsequent learning workflow from the start of each topic to its completion across an entire course or programme.
Aim
How to use technology to organise learning
Objective
After completing this module, you will be able to: - identify a set of tools and apps to organise effective teaching, learning and assessment - adopt these tools into your professional practice
Digital Teaching Professional Framework
This module covers the EdTech component - B2 : Teaching context: face-to-face
- Use learning environment technologies to support teaching, e.g. electronic whiteboards, mobile devices.
- Structure sessions so that different (practitioner-led and learner-led) digital activities jointly reinforce the learning objective.
- Structure and manage content, collaboration and interaction in a digital environment.
- Consider how practitioner-led digital interventions can best support the learning objective.
- Reflect on the effectiveness and appropriateness of the digital teaching strategies chosen and flexibly adjust methods and strategies.
- Experiment with and develop new formats and teaching methods (e.g. flipped classroom).

Excellent module to understand how to manage learners better
The school uses Google G-suite.
Great.
This unit teaches the importance of having a planned teaching route to get your learners through to the end of the course.
The reflection stage gave me a lot to think about and convey to the strengths and weaknesses of my planning, assessing and delivering using technology.
Valid points
Vital to have scheme of work and lesson plans
This was comprehensive and useful.
Learning Workflow is something that I need to consider more, and how I manage this. So far I have written a curriculum that I think is manageable and sequenced well for internal staff. However I need to see how this fits with learners before re-evaluating and challenging my thoughts and peers around the workflow.
Some useful links within the additional reading material, that I will explore particularly the Youtube videos to support.
Some excellent links provided.
Great ideas and thought provoking

Managing learning can be improved and streamlined using digital approaches but also presents its own challenges. These badges look at ways in which technology can help, and ways to mitigate challenges it could introduce. This is the Exploring stage, which recognises you have started exploring this area.
