EdTech: Learning Analytics
Learning analytics evaluates data available on learner activity and performance, together with administrative data such as system logins and entry/exit swipe in records to guide individual feedback and targeted interventions.

After completing this module, you will be able to: - describe how learning analytics works - compare a learning analytics approach to your current student progress tracking practice - identify the sources of improved learning outcomes.

- Design and implement learning activities which generate data on learner activity and performance.
- Use digital technologies to record, compare and synthesise data on learner progress.
- Be aware that learner activity in digital environments generates data that can be used to inform teaching and learning.
- Analyse and interpret available evidence on learner activity and progress, including the data generated by the digital technologies used.
- Consider, combine and evaluate different sources of evidence on learner progress and performance.
- Critically evaluate the evidence available to inform teaching and learning.

The data analysed regularly can help predict any intervention that is needed before it's too late.
I think that during lockdown it was difficult to engage students and that now they are coming back into class more and engaging better analytics for individual learners will help identify and then create discussions on any issues that are holding them back.
This module was a little harder to get my head round I think that is because the answers can be very similar.
